NetMark's "Funny Man" TV Spot One of the 10 Most Exciting Campaigns in 2005 in Nigeria

The Daily Independent, a Nigerian newspaper, has selected NetMark's "Funny Man" TV spot one of the 10 Most Exciting Campaigns in 2005 in Nigeria. Under the title NetMark: A New Approach to Malaria, the editor stated:

"The TV advert for the NetMark insecticide-treated nets (tagged Funny Man) never stops to excite the viewer (*) Having seen that the serious approach has not achieved much, the advert takes the humorous route. But while the viewer laughs, he recognizes himself in the TV character. (*) None of this would have been possible without the support of the United States Agency for International Development USAID. NetMark is funded by USAID a US Government agency that has committed over a half a billion US dollars to malaria, and other health and socioeconomic interventions in Nigeria."

Launched in April 2002, NetMark's education campaigns in Nigeria and support to local distributors has contributed in the doubling of net ownership in the country with estimated commercial sales of nets exceeding 15 million.
